diptyque L'Ombre dans l'Eau EDT is a floral eau de toilette for woman. In her garden Mrs Merwin, a friend of the creators of diptyque, cut the cassis and rose bushes to add the petals of the latter to her pot pourri. The combination of cassis leaves and rose petals was the inspiration for one of diptyque's most famous fragrances. This perfume was developed in 1983; the top notes are characterized by the Bulgarian rose to which are added the green notes of the leaves of cassis, which give it a pleasant freshness. The shadows of its name are balanced by freshness, a memory of a lush garden at the edge of the water.
